Butzel is pleased to announce that Marcella Eid has once again joined the firm as a Summer Associate in the Detroit Office. Marcella previously joined Butzel, in Summer 2023, as a 1L Summer Associate.

Marcella is a rising 3L student at Washington University School of Law in St. Louis. For the past year, she has served as a teaching assistant for a legal practice course and as a Staff Editor for the Washington University Global Studies Law Review.

Marcella received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Wayne State University in 2021, graduating summa cum laude with university and departmental honors. While attending Wayne State University, fellow students elected her to serve as Vice President of the Wayne State University Student Senate where she represented approximately 25,000 students.

While previously joining Butzel as a Summer Associate, Marcella gained exposure to litigation work in areas such as Corporate, Labor and Employment, Contract, and Automotive Law. She performed legal writing and research tasks to help prepare pleadings, memorandums, and corporate documents.

Prior to law school, Marcella worked for over three years as a law clerk at a full-service law firm that specializes in business and corporate litigation. In this role, she aided attorneys in case law research, preparations for discovery and trial, and the drafting and filing of pleadings throughout the Michigan court system.

Through her experiences, Marcella has developed a high-level of professionalism that she loves to apply to her work.
