Overview
Garett Koger is a Senior Attorney practicing in the firm's Lansing office. Garett focuses on commercial litigation and election law. His litigation experience includes service as the chief assistant prosecutor for Clinton County, Michigan, and as an assistant attorney general for the State of Michigan. Garett litigates in both the state and federal courts, including through appeal.
Garett counsels candidates on election and campaign matters and encourages a proactive approach to statutory compliance to ensure smooth access to the ballot. Should the need for litigation arise on a campaign matter, Garett is comfortable with what is often the fast-paced nature of election law litigation. His experience includes representing multiple candidates up through the Michigan Supreme Court.
Prior to his career as a lawyer, Garett served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 2002 to 2007. He’s a graduate of The Military College of South Carolina (“The Citadel”), and Michigan State College of Law.
