Overview
Prior to joining Butzel, Michelle served as a judicial extern for Chief Magistrate Judge Grand at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. In this role, she researched and prepared Report and Recommendations and engaged in collaborative discussions with Judge Grand pertaining to motion hearings and settlement discussions.
Michelle is a Law Clerk located in Butzel’s Detroit office. She was previously a Summer Associate at Butzel, assisting the attorneys in the firm’s Litigation practice. She prepared motions and briefs regarding various matters and researched complex compliance matters.
Michelle received her juris doctor degree, summa cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and graduated first in her class. While in law school, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Law Review. Michelle also previously served as a Teaching Assistant for Civil Procedure, Contracts Law, and Torts Law.
In her personal time, Michelle enjoys listening to music, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her family, friends, and cats.
