Overview
A skilled litigator with experience representing clients in a variety of matters, Deirdre has obtained successful resolution of legal issues including breach of contract, employment, and non-compete issues, lease violations, mortgage foreclosures, and other disputes in a wide range of sectors. She has deep experience drafting corporate legal documents such as bylaws, articles of incorporation, operating agreements, leases, lease amendments, money transfer disbursement agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
Prior to joining Butzel, Deirdre worked at a large firm in Pennsylvania where she was a member of Transactional and Litigation Teams. She concentrated her practice on the defense of individuals and entities in the financial sector.
During her career, Deirdre has represented abused and neglected children, advocating on their behalf in dependency matters, including termination of parental rights. Strongly committed to helping others, she has continued her dedication to aiding those in need through working as a volunteer to assist indigent individuals seeking legal advice.
Deirdre is a Senior Attorney practicing in the firm’s St. Joseph office. She received her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law and also holds a Master of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Emory University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana.
