Conor M. Bowers is a trusted advisor to corporate and individual clients, guiding them through the complexities of income and estate taxation with clarity and precision. He is known for his ability to translate intricate tax rules into practical strategies that help clients achieve their business and personal goals—whether that means structuring a sophisticated transaction, securing tax-exempt status, or navigating a high-stakes tax controversy.

Overview

Before joining Butzel, Conor built a well-rounded foundation in law and accounting. He served as a tax and business associate at a Michigan-based business law firm, where he worked extensively on corporate taxation, estate planning, and trust matters. He also gained national and international perspective as a tax consultant with a Big Four accounting firm, advising clients on federal tax issues and credit and incentive programs. Earlier in his career, Conor clerked for the Honorable Mark Cimino, J.T.C., of the Tax Court of New Jersey, managing state and local tax disputes.

With this blend of private practice, accounting, and government experience, Conor brings clients a 360-degree view of taxation and the practical insight to solve their most pressing challenges.

Conor Bowers is an Associate practicing in Butzel’s Troy office. He is admitted to practice in Michigan and the District of Columbia. Conor is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Business Law, Taxation, and Young Lawyers Sections.
