Attorney Christopher J. Ammori: Butzel Long

Overview

With experience spanning Am Law 200 and boutique firms in Metro Detroit, Christopher advises closely held businesses, investors, and multinational companies on a broad range of immigration, corporate, and real estate matters. His multidisciplinary background enables him to deliver practical legal solutions that align with each client’s business objectives, growth strategies, and operational needs. Christopher represents clients in a wide range of employment-based immigration matters, including O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, E-2 treaty investor visas, L-1 intracompany transferee visas, H-1B specialty occupation workers, TN professionals, and E-3 specialty occupation visas. He also assists clients with permanent residency matters, including EB-1 petitions, permanent labor certifications (PERM), and EB-5 immigrant investor visas.

In addition to his immigration practice, Christopher advises businesses and entrepreneurs on corporate transactions, entity formation and governance, mergers and acquisitions, contract negotiation and drafting, business succession planning, and general corporate counseling. He also represents clients in commercial and residential real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing, development projects, financing transactions, and real estate-related business planning.

Prior to joining Butzel, Christopher was the Founder and Managing Attorney of a Michigan law firm providing legal services in employment-based immigration, immigration and naturalization, business transactions, and real estate matters.

Christopher is a Senior Attorney in Butzel’s Detroit office. He earned his juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School. During law school, he served as a judicial intern to the Honorable David A. Hathaway of the Wayne County Circuit Court. He also served as Treasurer and Student Attorney for the Free Legal Aid Clinic at Wayne State University Law School, representing low-income clients in family and elder law matters.

A frequent speaker on immigration, business planning, and corporate strategy, Christopher is an active member of the Chaldean American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
