Overview
With experience spanning Am Law 200 and boutique firms in Metro Detroit, Christopher has advised closely held businesses and multinational companies on matters ranging from employment-based visa strategies to business transactions. His background enables him to tailor solutions that align with each client’s operational goals. Christopher represents clients in a wide range of nonimmigrant visa matters, including O-1 visas for individuals of extraordinary ability, E-2 treaty investors, L-1 intra-company transferees, H-1B specialty occupation workers, TN visas, and E-3 visas. He also represents clients in permanent residency matters such as EB-1, permanent labor certification (PERM), and EB-5 immigrant investor visas.
Prior to joining Butzel, Christopher was the founder and Managing Attorney of a Michigan firm offering legal services in the areas of Employment Immigration, Immigration and Naturalization, and Business Transactions.
Christopher is a Senior Attorney located in Butzel’s Detroit office. He holds a juris doctor from Wayne State University Law School. During law school, Christopher served as an intern to the Honorable David A. Hathaway at the Wayne County Circuit Court. He also served as Treasurer and Student Attorney for the Free Legal Aid Clinic at Wayne State Law School, representing low-income clients in family and elder law matters.
A frequent speaker on immigration and corporate planning, Christopher is an active member of the Chaldean American Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
