Practical Advice on Preparing for SECURE 2.0 Changes

2.21.2024 | 12:00pm - 1:00pm

When SECURE 2.0 became law in December 2022, it offered an extraordinary variety of new optional retirement plan changes rolling out over several years. Congress’s goals included strengthening retirement readiness by increasing access to workplace retirement plans and improving opportunities to save for retirement. However, when reviewing the odd mixture of new provisions included in the final law, it’s clear that nobody had the goal of making plan administration easier…it isn’t and it won’t be!

This webinar will help you understand your options rolling out in the next two years, and why you might or might not want to make some of the new optional plan changes.

In this one-hour briefing, attorneys of Butzel’s Employee Benefits team will discuss the practical steps that HR personnel and retirement plan decisionmakers should be taking to assess the impact of SECURE 2.0 in 2024 on their benefit plans. Butzel attorneys will also be available to answer questions.
