USCIS Updates (COVID-19)

4.27.2020

On March 18, 2020, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) temporarily suspended in-person appointments at its field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs) due to Coronavirus (COVID-19). USCIS has now extended the closures until at least June 4, 2020. Please note that USCIS Service Centers remain open and are continuing to process cases.

USCIS will send notices to applicants and petitioners with scheduled appointments, interviews, and naturalization ceremonies; and will automatically reschedule ASC appointments and asylum interviews. Some interviews and appointments are being waived by USCIS, and in such cases, approvals or requests for additional information will be mailed to applicants. USCIS is using previously submitted biometrics in order to process extension applications of I-765, Application for Employment Authorization. Individuals with InfoPass appointments must reschedule through the USCIS Contact Center as these appointments will not be rescheduled automatically.
