Veronica Shaykhet is dedicated to delivering exceptional counsel to clients facing litigation and dispute resolution matters. She works closely with individuals and entities in a variety of sectors to understand their businesses and their objectives, developing strategies tailored to their unique needs.

Overview

Veronica provides practical representation to help clients achieve optimal results while addressing complex legal challenges. She is recognized for being exceptionally prepared for court hearings, as she meticulously handles all aspects of legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing case materials with the goal of reaching the most expedient resolution. Veronica ensures clients are kept well informed throughout the resolution process.

Prior to joining Butzel, Veronica spent more than eight years as a television news reporter. She worked at stations across the state, including Fox 2 in Detroit. Through her stories, Veronica loved helping people and showcasing Michigan’s unique communities. Once she decided to focus on law, Veronica interned at the US Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Michigan. There, she drafted motions, assisted with trial preparation, and more. Veronica also interned with the Honorable Nancy Edmunds at the US District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, where she drafted an order and observed various court proceedings.

Veronica Shaykhet is an Associate located in Butzel’s Troy office. She received her juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, summa cum laude, and graduated first in her class. Veronica graduated from Central Michigan University with a double major in Broadcast Journalism and Integrative Public Relations.

When she is not working, Veronica spends time with her husband and son. She also goes on plenty of walks with her two German Shepherds.
