Aly Kwiatek is a seasoned paralegal experienced in litigation matters, including the areas of commercial and employment law. She works closely with the attorneys in the firm’s Litigation, Labor and Employment, and Employee Benefits Practice Departments.

Overview

Over the course of her career, Ms. Kwiatek has worked on a multitude of complex civil litigation matters, contributing to the successful defense of clients ranging from mid-size Michigan businesses to Fortune 100 companies.

Her background encompasses a broad spectrum of industry knowledge, including transportation, health care, property management (commercial and residential), manufacturing, construction, and government, regulatory, and internal investigations.

Ms. Kwiatek has had extensive involvement in multiple trials over the years, providing both pre-trial and courtroom assistance. She has been instrumental in managing trial exhibits, compiling witness and exhibit lists, preparing witnesses, and generating digital trial presentations. She is well-versed in case management and court procedures at the state and federal levels. Ms. Kwiatek has prepared for and attended numerous depositions and mediations.

She has significant experience serving as an attorney-client liaison throughout all phases of the litigation process and has played a pivotal role in executing discovery and case resolution strategies. Her diverse array of legal experience includes motion drafting, detailed legal research, fact-finding investigations, alternative dispute resolution support, in-depth document review and production, fact and expert witness coordination, and a vast scope of discovery projects.

Prior to joining Butzel, Ms. Kwiatek was a litigation paralegal with a concentration in medical malpractice, premises liability, and general negligence matters at a medical malpractice defense firm in Michigan. She then transitioned to a national, Am Law 100 firm, where she was involved in the insurance defense and commercial litigation practice areas.

Aly Kwiatek is a litigation paralegal in Butzel’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Labor and Employment, and Employee Benefits Practice Departments. She graduated from Michigan State University (MSU) (Honors College) with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science-Prelaw. While at MSU, she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and served on the Panhellenic Judicial Board. Ms. Kwiatek was also a Research Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Legislative Intern, and a member of MSU’s Political Science Scholars, among other accomplishments.
