Abigail Schaefer has experience providing legal support in all stages of litigation. She collaborates with attorneys in Butzel’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice to ensure the firm’s clients receive exceptional legal services.

Overview

Abigail recently received her juris doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she was the Executive Managing Editor of the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from James Madison College at Michigan State University.

Abigail is a Law Clerk located in the firm’s Detroit office. During her undergraduate studies, Abigail completed internships with the 30th Circuit Court and the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office. Prior to joining Butzel, she assisted personal injury and medical malpractice attorneys throughout all stages of litigation. She most recently served as a student attorney in the Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance Clinic at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Outside of law school, Abigail enjoys seeing new movies, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family.
