Butzel Named to Crain’s 2026 Best Places to Work in Michigan for Sixth Straight Year
Law firm ranks 22 out of 100 companies in Michigan
DETROIT, Mich. – Butzel has achieved its highest ranking yet in Crain’s 2026 Best Places to Work, ranking number 22 out of 100 companies. This year marks the sixth consecutive year Butzel has been named to the list. In 2025 and 2024, Butzel was ranked 38 for two years straight; in 2023, Butzel was ranked 41; 53 in 2022; and, 44 in 2021.
Moreover, Butzel also was named for the first time to Crain’s 2026 Best Places to Work in West Michigan. Butzel ranks number four out of 30 companies!

How Crain’s Best Places to Work are chosen:
Crain’s partners with Best Companies Group, a Pennsylvania-based independent workplace excellence research firm, that conducts a two-part survey. The first part is an employer questionnaire that collects information about benefits, policies, practices and other general information.
The second part is a confidential 77-question employee survey that helps Best Companies evaluate regional employees’ workplace experience and culture. Best Companies Group collected the data in June 2026. From there, Best Companies provides Crain’s with a ranked list. This year, Crain’s has 100 Best Places to Work in Michigan.
