Butzel Hosts Webinar, The End of IEEPA Tariffs: How to Seek Refunds and Plan for New Tariffs, on February 25, 2026
DETROIT, Mich. – On Friday, February 20, 2026, the US Supreme Court held that the International Economic Emergency Powers Act (IEEPA) does not authorize the President to impose tariffs, and the President terminated the IEEPA tariffs.
Butzel's International Trade, Tariffs, and Customs Specialty Team will explain the following in a 60-minute webinar, from 3-4 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday February 25:
- The Supreme Court decision,
- Potential options for refunds,
- The new Section 122 tariffs that the President imposed in the immediate aftermath of the Supreme Court decision, and
