Butzel Announces: Jury Awards Client, Stoplost Investments, LLC, $1,175,000.00
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Butzel attorney Darius Dynkowski who focuses his practice in the areas of condemnation and eminent domain, has announced that client, Stoplost Investments, LLC, received a jury verdict in the amount of $1,175,000.00 on February 6, 2026.
Dynkowski stated the condemning agency, The City of Wyoming, a suburb of Grand Rapids, Michigan had originally offered $135,000 for the easement rights acquired for a non-motorized pedestrian bridge and trail along his client’s property.
After trial, Dynkowski said, “Securing appropriate just compensation for landowners in eminent domain matters is the cornerstone of protecting private property rights from governmental abuse.”
The case went before the 17th Circuit Court for Kent County, Michigan.
