Butzel Long attorney featured during several speaking engagements in June



ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Butzel Long attorney and shareholder Lynn McGuire is a speaker in demand. McGuire, who focuses her practice in the area of employee benefits law, will be a featured speaker during several programs in June.

On June 5, McGuire will present during a program at Washtenaw Community College on health care reform. McGuire will then speak during a Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) Business Briefing program at Walsh College’s Troy campus on June 13. She will tackle several questions to help employers understand how the requirements will impact them. She will discuss health care reform again during a program sponsored by the Michigan Association of Metal Finishers on June 20.

McGuire advises clients ranging from professional corporations with one or two employees, to employers with several thousand employees at locations around the world, including both for-profit and non-profit entities. She has counseled fiduciaries facing mergers, plant closings, and plan termination. In addition, she provides advice to clients on the tax, fiduciary compliance and strategic implications of benefit plan design.

McGuire is a member of the American Bar Association, and the State Bars of Michigan and Ohio.
