DETROIT, Mich. – Butzel Long attorney Bernard (Bernie) J. Fuhs is the featured speaker for a Walsh Institute Leadership Center Business Briefing program from 8:30-10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at Walsh College’s Novi campus. The title of the program is: “Non-Compete Agreements, Trade Secrets and the Effects on Social Media.”

During the program, Mr. Fuhs will provide an overview of non-compete agreements and the important nuances such as employee compliance. He will then discuss the effects on social media including:

  • Who owns the social media accounts when an employee departs?
  • Can employers investigate an employee’s social media account if there’s concern they are discussing confidential information?

Based in Butzel Long’s Detroit office, Mr. Fuhs concentrates his practice in the areas of business and commercial litigation. He has significant experience in non-compete, non-disclosure, and trade secret disputes, business and financial services industry disputes, franchise and dealerships, transportation and logistics industry disputes, construction, real estate, securities, and sales representative matters.
