Butzel Adds Tariffs Roundup Page to Tariff and Trade Resource Center
Butzel has launched a new Tariffs Roundup page to its Tariff and Trade Resource Center. The Tariffs Roundup is a go-to resource for basic information about all of the major tariff actions that are in effect or may be upcoming, consisting of tables that generally summarize:
- The official tariff actions that are currently in effect or have already been taken,
- Reciprocal tariff increases and adjustments effective August 7 on products from 66 countries and territories plus the European Union, and
- Other potential and upcoming tariff developments.
The Tariffs Roundup reflects the flurry of trade announcements from July 30 and 31, including:
- The new reciprocal tariffs, which range from 10% to 41%;
- 50% Section 232 tariffs on semifinished copper products and copper-intensive derivative products effective August 1;
- A 35% IEEPA tariff on non-USMCA-compliant imports from Canada effective August 1;
- An additional 40% IEEPA tariff on imports from Brazil, which bring the total IEEPA tariffs on Brazil to 50%, effective August 6;
- Suspension of duty-free de minimis treatment for shipments of $800 or less from all countries effective August 29; and
- Extension of the current tariffs on Mexico for 90 days.
The Tariffs Roundup will be updated as quickly and thoroughly as possible with future tariff developments.
