Experience

  • Acted as lead counsel in negotiating and structuring large industrial design/build lease, including coordination of all aspects of financing and project oversight

  • Representation of tenant in subleasing 170,000 square feet to social service organization and negotiation of complex arrangements to obtain landlord’s consent
  • Co-authored and negotiated passage of historic legislation extending the availability of tax increment financing to the first major retail shopping center being developed in the City of Detroit in over 40 years
  • Prevailed on Motion for Summary Disposition on behalf of our client, an anchor tenant in a shopping center, and against the landlord who claimed wrongful termination of the lease
