Commercial litigator Regina M. Alter Joins Butzel Long in New York Office

New York, NY – Commercial litigator Regina M. Alter has joined Butzel Long and will be based in the firm's New York office. Ms. Alter, who joins Butzel Long as an associate, was previously of counsel at Dreier LLP. She concentrates her practice on commercial and business litigation and dispute resolution, including contracts, business tort, real estate, employment, trusts and estates, and securities.

Ms. Alter represents private clients and companies in federal and state courts and in arbitration and mediation forums in significant commercial and business matters, as well as in investigative proceedings before the Securities Exchange Commission and other regulators.

In her early practice, Ms. Alter was an associate with White and Case LLP and with Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP. She is admitted before the bar of the State of New York and of the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York.

A graduate of New York University, Ms. Alter received her J.D., cum laude, from The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she served on the Cardozo Law Review. She was also selected an Alexander Fellow, and as such performed a full-time externship with the Honorable Shira A. Scheindlin, Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York.

Ms. Alter is fluent in Russian and Hebrew.
