Butzel Long attorney Robert M. Nemzin appointed to serve as a Fellow in the ABA Real Property, Trust and Estate Fellows Program
BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Butzel Long associate attorney Robert M. Nemzin has been appointed to serve as a Fellow in the American Bar Association (ABA) Real Property, Trust and Estate Fellows Program.
The Fellows Program provides for six Fellows to be selected each year. The goal of the Program is to give active members of the Young Lawyers Division and state or local bar associations an opportunity to become involved in the substantive work of the Section, to develop future leaders of the Section, and to enhance knowledge about the work of the Section among members of the Young Lawyers Division and other young lawyers.
"I am honored and excited to be appointed to serve in the Fellows Program," said Mr. Nemzin. "This is an incredible opportunity to expand my participation within the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law."
Based in the firm's Bloomfield Hills office, Mr. Nemzin concentrates his practice in the areas of Wealth Management, Tax and Corporate law.
Mr. Nemzin is a graduate of New York University School of Law (LL.M., Taxation, 2007). He also is a graduate of the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law (J.D., cum laude, 2006) where he was the Title Editor for the Law Review and a member of the Frank Murphy Honor Society and the Alpha Sigma Nu National Jesuit Honor Society.
He interned as a Law Clerk with The Findling Law Firm, P.L.C., where he had the opportunity to research, analyze and draft legal documents including trial and appellate motions, complaints, and affidavits. He also served the Honorable Bernard A. Friedman, U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan, as a Judicial Intern where he performed a variety of duties including the legal analysis of pending cases and the preparation of memoranda to aid clerks and the Judge in the disposition of pending civil and criminal matters.
Mr. Nemzin is a graduate of the University of Michigan (B.A., Communication Studies, 2003). He enjoyed many honors as an undergraduate including the following: recipient of the Albert Goodman Scholarship (1999-2000), recipient of the Communication Studies Summer Scholar (June 2002), and recipient of the G. McDonald Communication Studies Scholarship (March 2003). He also received University Honors in both the Winter 2002 and Fall 2002 semesters.
Mr. Nemzin is admitted to practice in Michigan and New York. He is a member of the American Bar Association (Section of Taxation and Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law), the State Bar of Michigan and the New York State Bar Association.
