DETROIT, Mich. – Butzel Long, one of Michigan’s leading law firms, is growing significantly, with the addition of three attorneys in its Washington, D.C. office and five attorneys in its Ann Arbor, Mich. office since September 1, 2015 , according to Justin G. Klimko, Butzel’s President and Managing Shareholder who made the announcement today. The total number of Butzel attorneys in Washington increases to 19, enhancing Butzel’s presence in the nation’s capital and augmenting the capabilities of its other offices.

Gotthelf, Attorney, Shareholder and Director of Innovation and External Relations, Butzel Long, has been elected President of the Michigan Israel Business Bridge (MIBB), a bi-national chamber of commerce. Gotthelf has previously served on the MIBB Board of Directors and as Vice President of the Executive Council. In 2012, Gotthelf served as Chair of matchmaking to bring Israel and Michigan automotive companies together as part of a high-tech automotive exchange mission by the Israel Consul for Economic Affairs and MIBB.

August 28, 2015Butzel Long immigration law attorney Reginald A. Pacis was among a group of leading experts who were invited to testify during a Michigan Law Revision Commission Meeting on August 26, 2015 in Lansing. The focus of the Meeting was to discuss the impact of immigration issues on the State of Michigan’s Drivers license issuing practices and access to driver’s licenses or state identification in Michigan for applicants authorized to stay in the U.S. Participants were invited to provide analysis and offer key insight to the Commission on this matter.
