Religious and Disability Accommodation in Today’s Workplace

Most state and federal non-discrimination laws simply prohibit employers from taking certain actions.  However, when it comes to religious practices and disabilities, employers are legally required to take affirmative steps to accommodate employees.  This session will discuss the obligations employers have to accommodate, discuss the steps to be taken in determining how to accommodate, and the circumstances in which employers may permissibly deny accommodations which are requested.

This complimentary presentation is led by Daniel B. Tukel, Shareholder at Butzel Long’s Detroit office.
