Overview
Olivia is a rising 3L at Michigan State University College of Law and serves as an Associate Editor for the Michigan State University International Law Review. She is also actively involved in several additional leadership roles, including Chair of the Student Bar Association’s Barristers Ball, Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity Clerk, and member of the Business Securities and Law Institute. She was also recognized with the Jurisprudence Achievement Award in Advocacy.
Olivia received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Law, summa cum laude, from Western Michigan University in 2023. Western Michigan University honored her as the Presidential Scholar of the Finance and Commercial Law Department at the Haworth College of Business.
Prior to joining Butzel, Olivia served as a General Counsel Legal Assistant. In this role, she conducted legal research on complex issues, drafted contracts and memoranda, and assisted with case management and litigation support. She was also a student attorney in the Alvin L. Storrs Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she assisted clients with federal and state tax controversies. She prepared tax returns, communicated with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and other tax authorities, and developed advocacy strategies for use in the United States Tax Court.
Outside of law school, she enjoys coaching two softball teams, playing golf, and spending time with her family and friends.
