Christine A. Santourian has recently joined Butzel in the firm’s Troy office and is awaiting admission to the State Bar of Michigan. Once admitted she will be an Associate attorney focusing her practice in the areas of Business and Real Estate.

Ms. Santourian received a Bachelor of Science in Middle Eastern Studies and Spanish Literature from the University of Michigan and her Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. Christine was on the Dean’s List at the University of Michigan and served as Chair of the Encompass Multicultural Performance Arts Production and as Secretary of the Kappa Alpha Pi Pre-Law Fraternity. While in law school, she was the recipient of a Dean’s Scholarship and a member of the Women’s Law Caucus and the Hispanic and Latino/a Law Student Association. Christine served as a teaching assistant for first year Criminal Law and second year Evidence students. She won the Book Award in Legal Research and Writing and Electronic Discovery classes. Christine also competed with University of Detroit Mercy’s Moot Court Board of Advocates in two national advocacy competitions.

Prior to earning her juris doctor, Christine developed a strong business acumen while working at a large insurance company where she attended court hearings, testifying when necessary and granting authority on the settlement of automobile claims. She additionally gained experience in User Experience (UX) software and process design while working in the insurance industry. Christine also possesses experience in the commercial real estate sector where she gained experience as a property manager for a Michigan commercial real estate management and development firm. Ms. Santourian is certified as a notary public and in Westlaw Advanced Legal Research and Litigation Research.
