Evi Georgiou is an associate practicing in Butzel Long's Washington, D.C. office. Ms. Georgiou concentrates her practice on employment matters and complex civil litigation, and has acted as counsel in federal and state court, in arbitration, and before administrative agencies. She provides counseling regarding employment contracts, disputes, investigations, and compliance with federal and state employment laws (including FMLA, FLSA, ADEA, ADA and Title VII). Ms. Georgiou has assisted a wide range of clients from small business owners to multinational corporations. She is admitted to practice in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia.
Ms. Georgiou is a graduate of The Florida State University College of Law (J.D., 2005), where she also earned a Certificate in International Law. She was a member and President of the International Law Society, and she attended the law school's Oxford Study Abroad Program. Ms. Georgiou was a member of the Dispute Resolution Society and winner of FSU Law's 2003 Dispute Resolution Competition. She is also a graduate of the University of Maryland (B.A., Economics, 2002).
During law school, Ms. Georgiou interned at the Cato Institute and the Central Bank of Greece in Athens.
Ms. Georgiou is a member of the American Bar Association and the Women's Bar Association of the District of Columbia.
Ms. Georgiou is fluent in Greek.
