Ashley Glime is a contract associate based in Butzel Long’s Ann Arbor office. Ashley’s practice focuses on domestic and international trademark matters, including availability searching, filing and prosecuting trademark applications, general counseling, trademark enforcement and resolution. She has assisted with several Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings. She also has extensive experience with review of watches for major brands of clients and trademark and domain name enforcement, including research and drafting of UDRP complaints to secure transfer of infringing domains. Ashley also has experience handling trademark issues that arise from the use of social media and the potential issues for trademark owners surrounding the launch of the new gTLDs.
While attending William Mitchell College of Law, Ashley was a member of the Student Intellectual Property Association, and the National Security Law Association, research assistant and program developer for the Mitchell in London program, and served as a judicial intern for the Florence County Circuit Court Judge in Florence, Wisconsin. She spent her third year of law school studying in London focusing on English Company and European and English Intellectual Property Law. As part of her studies, Ashley volunteered with the non-profit organization Own-It, providing intellectual property advice to arts and media students in London.
