George H. Zinn, Jr. is Counsel to Butzel Long and based in the firm’s Detroit office. He is a graduate of The University of Michigan with B.B.A., M.B.A. and J.D. degrees in January, 1959, June, 1959, and January, 1963, respectively. He has had substantial experience in loan transactions for New York Life Insurance Company and Crest Savings and Loan Association, as well as representing numerous borrowers.
Mr. Zinn is listed as an attorney in The Bond Buyer for his work in municipal bond transactions. He has been active in all phases of real estate law including leasing, insurance, assessment appeals and zoning, as well as MSHDA, EDC and other publicly financed projects. Mr. Zinn was Assistant Chairman of the Real Property Law Committee of the Detroit Bar Association, and has lectured before the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. He has extensive background and experience in securities matters and is an approved arbitrator for the NASD and Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board.
