The construction involved constructing an embankment approx. 10 feet with the pavement atop the embankment. Shortly after project completion cracking appeared in the pavement surface. Alleging defective work, the airport's engineer directed the contractor to remove and reconstruct the entire embankment. Following a thorough investigation, we were able to demonstrate the contractor had fully complied with the project design requirements and the defects were attributable to engineering design.
