Our attorneys provide a detailed analysis to determine whether work authorization is required or if a business visa is appropriate according to the activities to be conducted in the foreign country. In general, permissible business visitor activities do not include performing productive labor. If a foreign work permit is required, Butzel Long attorneys assist their clients to obtain the work permit in either the foreign country, or the foreign country’s embassy or consulate in the United States, depending on the laws of the foreign country. We also assist in processing work and dependant visas, if required, and any registration processes after entering the foreign country.
