OESA and Butzel Long announce a conference to discuss OEM terms and conditions and commercial issues in light of the current industry and economic climate on September 17, 2009, at the MSU Management Education Center, Troy, Mich. The meeting coincides with the update of the “OESA N.A. OEM Production P.O. Terms and Conditions Comparative Analysis” for 2009. The conference is also available via live webinar.
OESA and Butzel Long will review current commercial issues, terms and conditions and discuss supplier strategies.
Topics to be discussed include:
- Cancellations / Wind downs
- Bankruptcy issues, including the impact of OEM filings on rights, risks and claims exposure
- Directed buys and multi-party agreements
- Trade agreements, cure letters and “new” terms of “old” contracts
- Format and use of the 2009 “Comparative Analysis,” highlighting changes from 2008
The conference will feature a question and answer session, a facilitated dialogue on industry terms and conditions, and options for dealing with specific issues.
