Obtained summary judgment in our client's favor in a case that involved Plaintiff's attempt to recover $500 million of clean-up costs incurred at two Superfund sites in Anniston, Alabama. We were able to focus the Court on the nuanced inter-relationship of CERCLA's cost recovery, contribution and contribution protection sections and harmonize those sections in a way that, under the particular facts involved, justified judgment in favor of our client.
