2010 marks more major milestones for China:
- It is poised to surpass Japan as the world’s second largest economy after the U.S.;
- It has become the largest auto market in the world;
- It ranks No. 2 behind the U.S. in number of billionaires
However, risks and challenges lie ahead. After managing to sustain a high growth rate with low inflation for over a decade,
China is witnessing a rapid rise of consumer prices in recent months, raising questions of when the RMB will be appreciated.
So, what are US companies doing now in China? How are they taking advantage of the exploding opportunities? How are they hedging the currency risks?
As they integrate more into the Chinese economy, how are they managing those hanging issues like intellectual property rights?
Two notable and experienced business attorneys from prominent law firms in China will be sharing practical insights and advice about M&A trends, opportunities and strategies, as well as inventors’ rights and IP protection practice in joint ventures and WOFEs (wholly owned foreign enterprise) in China.
In addition, all roundtable participants will have ample opportunity to interact and network with the speakers and each other, ask questions, share insights, and offer solutions to each other on all things related to China in a relatively intimate setting.
