Butzel Long is unique among law firms in the depth and breadth of its media and communications practice, with extensive experience in the areas of libel, invasion of privacy, newsroom counseling, state and federal freedom of information acts, open meetings disputes and access to courtrooms and other public proceedings and files.  The firm is counsel to local and national media companies, including newspaper and magazine publishers, television networks and local radio and television stations.

Members of our firm are actively involved in the development of legislative initiatives on the state and federal level and of First Amendment theory and practice.
