Litigation & Arbitration

Butzel Long has a distinguished history of successfully handling arbitration and litigation matters. We have participated in landmark cases beginning in the early twentieth century, where the Michigan Supreme Court acknowledged a President’s ability to assert war time powers over utilities, through the present, where the United States Supreme Court ruled on the constitutionality of affirmative action policies at one of the country’s top universities.

Our litigation and arbitration practice has grown throughout the years. We handle a range of complex issues and areas of litigation, including appeals, bankruptcy and restructuring, business entity disputes, commercial litigation, product liability, professional liability, real estate litigation, technology and electronic discovery issues, and white collar criminal defense and investigations.
