Mr. Jones’s current activities include acting as counsel to the independent board members of three registered investment companies – an “exchange-traded fund” and two funds linked as “master” and “feeder” -- sponsored by a well-known bank, and to the independent board members of a 25-fund “aggressive growth stock” mutual fund complex for which he has also acted as principal outside counsel in the past. Another client of long standing is a registered investment adviser to high-net-worth individuals. Mr. Jones also serves as the review partner for the periodic proxy statements and registration-statement amendments of another fund complex – consisting primarily of single-state municipal bond funds and money-market funds – that is represented by the Firm and as the lead attorney, as needed, on isolated projects involving one or more of those funds.
Mr. Jones is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York as well as the American Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in New York State and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
