Mujeeb Ijaz, Director of the Automotive Applications Engineering team for A123 Systems, Inc. in Livonia, Michigan. He has devoted his career within the electric vehicle segment of the auto industry to battery systems of electric vehicles such as the Sodium Sulfur battery ECOSTAR EV, the Ranger EV, the Postal EV, the THINK City EV, the Ford Escape PHEV demo, and the HySERIES EDGE PHEV based on lithium ion technology.
Congressman Gary Peters (invited) is the United States Representative serving Michigan's 9th Congressional District in Oakland County. He was appointed to the Financial Services Committee and also serves on the Science and Technology committee. In addition, he authored and passed the Advanced Vehicle Technology Act to create 21st Century jobs and reduce our dependence on foreign oil.
