BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Health care attorney Adele P. Jorissen has joined Butzel Long as an associate attorney in the firm’s Bloomfield Hills office.
Ms. Jorissen has represented health care providers in transactional and corporate matters. She also has represented them in Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC), Medicare, and other third-party payor audit appeals.

Prior to joining Butzel Long, Ms. Jorissen served internships and clerkships with the Michigan Children’s Law Center, the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Juvenile Division, and the Department of Homeland Security. She also was a Legal Advocate at a local domestic violence shelter, where she accompanied and represented domestic violence survivors in court matters.
Ms. Jorissen is a graduate of Ave Maria School of Law (J.D., 2007), where she was a member of the Moot Court Executive Board, the Women’s Law Association, the Intellectual Property Group, the International Law Society, and the Thomas More Society. She also worked in the school’s Women’s Immigrant Rights Law Clinic and represented women in immigration and asylum matters. Ms. Jorissen also is a graduate of the University of Dallas (B.A., 2004).
