Jennifer Feng-Smith is a Global Trade Advisor in Butzel Long's Ann Arbor office. She is responsible for consulting with U.S. companies entering the Chinese market and Chinese companies entering the North American market. Ms. Feng-Smith has assisted more than 30 companies including Comerica, American Axle Manufacturing and Compuware with their entry strategies, structural planning and business development in China.
Ms. Feng-Smith brings over 15 years of extensive experience working on international projects for business development, program management and contract negotiation across the U.S., China and Europe. With experience in private companies, public holding companies, as well as government relations, Ms. Feng-Smith has a strong background in high level negotiations. She was instrumental in resolving a multinational corporation's $100 million dispute with the City of Taipei where the multinational received a favorable award.
Ms. Feng-Smith received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Donghai University in Taiwan and her Master of International Trade from Eastern Michigan University. She speaks Mandarin Chinese, Taiwanese and English.
