The EEOC has issued its long-awaited regulations for the amended Americans with Disabilities Act. The amended ADA made significant changes to the definition of “disability,” and those changes should result in an increase in the number of employees who qualify as “disabled” under the ADA. The EEOC’s regulations will affect all employers that are subject to the ADA. Employers need to understand these regulations and their effects.
Butzel Long invites you to participate in a complimentary webinar from 11:30am to 12:30pm on Thursday, May 5, 2011 to learn about the new EEOC regulations. The webinar will address the following questions:
- What are the ADA amendments?
- What do the EEOC’s regulations provide regarding the key issues of what is a “disability,” what is a “substantial limitation,” and what does “regarded as” disabled mean?
- How will the EEOC’s regulations affect employer policies and practices regarding disabled employees?
This interactive session will consist of a 45-minute panel presentation followed by a question and answer session. Participants will be able to ask questions during the webinar.
Gary Klotz will serve as moderator. Jim Rosenfeld, Regan Dahle, and Rebecca Davies will serve on the panel and answer participants’ questions.
